Patriot Convoy of Kindness

Orlando 912 and Tea Party Groups are teaming up with other Patriot Groups from all over Florida to help bring relief to the people of Alabama who have been ravaged by the tornadoes that turned their lives upside down last week. Not only do our hearts and prayers go out to them, but our hands are reaching out to them as well.  We understand that we are all Americans and in our most desperate times of need Americans reach out in significant ways to help one another.  It is in this spirit of true Patriotism we are standing up and reaching out to help the people and families of Alabama.  We are asking that you also do your part by volunteering in whatever way you can to help the people of Alabama.

We have determined that the small towns like Cullman, Arab, and Phil Cambell are getting no assistance. These are country folks who for the most part own their homes, but have no insurance, so they will need all the help they can get. As we saw with Ivan and Katrina, FEMA and the media are largely ignoring them and focusing only on one area, in this case Tuscaloosa. These are the areas where we will focus our efforts -

Here are the needs:

Immediate needs are: food, water, temporary shelter, (tents and sleeping bags needed ASAP!!), clothing, people who are willing to search for the missing/bodies and man roadblocks, (there are many wires down and also unfortunately a good amount of looting, even in the small towns).
 
Mid term needs are clearing rubble and helping recover & herd livestock, (most fences and barns were destroyed).
 
Long term needs are people to help rebuild houses, barns and fences.

We have also arranged for direct gift card through Publix and Walmart.  You can go to any Walmart or Publix and purchase a gift card that will be sent directly to the people of Alabama.  Also, if you would like to drop-off items we have several drop off points around the Orlando Area.  We are hoping to have more but here are the locations as of today:
